#2 : Un poquito de la cultura

Hola.
There was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile on Saturday, February 27, 2010. It left hundreds of people dead and injured in Rio De Janeiro. In Concepción, the second largest metropolitan area in Chile, many buildings were destroyed and left people alive or dead under the rubble. The earthquake was larger than the one in Haiti, but the amount of deaths is less due to the strong buildings. This earthquake tied for the fifth largest in the world since 1900. This earthquake also led to tsunamis. Many countries including Japan, Philippines, and Pacific Islands were on alert.

  1. this is super interesante. and i also heard from someone that this earthquake moved the earth off its axis by 1 millionth of an inch so now every day i 1 millionth of a second shorter. so in 1 million years we will have lost 1 second off of time. just saying... nice job though :)
